Jan spends the majority of her summer days riding the high country of the Great Canadian Rockies, where the pristine creeks and rivers flow freely through the peaks and valleys. 

Jan’s love of the outdoors and being in nature has inspired her to open another door, a door of creativity.   Recently, Jan began painting with watercolors, then transitioned to drawing with colored pencils and pastels.  She uncovered a talent she didn’t realize was nesting in her soul.  The incredible detail in each of her creations reveals itself upon close inspection to be drawings rather than photographs.  Studying tutorials online and countless hours in her studio, Jan’s work is an inspiration and refreshing to her steadily growing audience.

A nature enthusiast and avid lover of the Rocky Mountains, she finds the deepest connection with the world through her horses.  Her passion of these majestic animals is vividly translated onto art paper, where her coloured pencil and pastel strokes beautifully capture the essence and truth of every moment. 

Each piece becomes a testament to the profound connection she shares with nature, creating a symphony of colours.
